Questions
Buying a shed or barn near Azle
Answers about local rules summarize published city and county information and aren't legal advice.
Does Azle require a permit for a shed?
Yes. Since May 2026, Azle requires a permit for every accessory building, with no fee at 120 sq ft or less. Azle permits only inside city limits, which differ from the Azle mailing area.
How far is Azle from your lot?
About 48 road miles from our Corinth sales lot, roughly an hour by car. We include delivery details with your quote.
Which ZIP codes and communities around Azle do you deliver to?
We deliver to the Azle ZIP code, 76020, and nearby communities including Briar, Pecan Acres, Carter, and Eagle Mountain Lake. Not sure about your address? Enter your ZIP code in Find a lot at the top of the page.
Can I rent-to-own a building?
Yes. Rent-to-own has no credit check, a low deposit, and terms of 36, 48, 60, or 72 months. Terms are confirmed in writing before you sign, so ask when you get your price.
Should I choose a lofted barn or a storage shed?
A lofted barn adds overhead loft storage for seasonal or bulky items. A storage shed keeps everything at floor level, which suits things you use every week. Compare both in the designer before you choose.
Can I see buildings in person before I buy?
Yes. You can see buildings at our Corinth sales lot and our Corsicana yard. Call 214-551-7817 before you visit to check what is there.

County and city requirements for the Azle area
Inside Azle city limits: since May 4, 2026, every accessory building needs a permit regardless of size, with no fee at 120 sq ft or less. Applications need a site plan, building drawings, and foundation details; engineered, sealed plans are required for concrete foundations. Buildings stay behind the house and 10 ft from it, 5 ft from side lines (15 ft on a corner street side) and 5 ft or the easement width from the rear, under 10% of the lot. Azle permits only inside city limits, which differ from the Azle mailing area.
Outside city limits (unincorporated Tarrant County): Tarrant County has no zoning and doesn't issue residential building permits. Structures stay 25 ft from a county road right-of-way and 50 ft from a state highway, anything in a FEMA floodplain needs a floodplain permit first, and septic systems are permitted through the county Wastewater Specialist (817-212-7082). Nearly all unincorporated land here sits in a city's ETJ.
On the Parker County side: Parker County does not issue building permits and has no zoning. Development in a flood hazard area needs a county Floodplain Development Permit. Driveways and culverts in county right-of-way need a free permit from your precinct Commissioner, and owners supply the culvert. Parker County Permitting: 817-598-6175.
Adding plumbing? Septic (OSSF) permits run through the same office, $480 for a conventional or aerobic system.
