The fee schedule lists $0.30 per sq ft (minimum $75) plus a $100 plan review for buildings over 200 sq ft. HOA rules may also apply.
Outside city limits (unincorporated Tarrant County): Tarrant County has no zoning and doesn't issue residential building permits. Structures stay 25 ft from a county road right-of-way and 50 ft from a state highway, anything in a FEMA floodplain needs a floodplain permit first, and septic systems are permitted through the county Wastewater Specialist (817-212-7082). Nearly all unincorporated land here sits in a city's ETJ.
